WPC Group are looking for an apprentice to work with a global leader in transport temperature control solutions, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentice. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn and develop the skills necessary to maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems on heavy vehicles.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems on heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, and trailers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Attend training courses and complete on-the-job training to learn the necessary skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and on time
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Valid driver's license
