The Family Law Co. is looking for an experienced Family Law Receptionist / Secretary to join our wonderful all-female team, located in Newcastle East.

We are a busy boutique family law firm, with seven dedicated family law solicitors. We provide services for both private paying clients, and those in receipt of Legal Aid. Our team describe our work environment as open, collaborative, collegiate, and fun. We enjoy coming to work and we work hard for our clients.
The ideal candidate will have administrative experience in a family law environment and be a detail-oriented team player who will be the first point of contact for visitors at the office, greeting them in a polite and well-spoken manner. You will also be assigned duties as required (i.e. organization of inbound and outbound mail, administrative work, and general clerical support).
Responsibilities
* Answer and direct phone calls.
* Distribute mail.
* Act as first point of contact for visitors.
* Process payments.
* Diary management.
* Booking client consultations.
* Updating and maintaining the firm's sharepoint.
* Assisting with staff onboarding.
* Overflow paralegal work as required.
* Drafting basic correspondence.
* Organising and liaising with external parties to ensure the smooth running of the office (for example cleaner, marketing, IT, bookkeeper, security, print technicians, shredding, and the like).
* Navigating ComCourts and Legal Aid Portals.
Qualifications / Experience
Whilst no formal qualifications are required for this role, the following will be looked upon favourably:
* Previous experience as a Receptionist / Secretary / Office Manager within a family law firm.
* Previous experience using Smokeball Legal Software, or similar software such as Leap.
* Previous experience using the Comcourts and Legal Aid portals.
* Previous training in Microsoft Word and Outlook, and extensive experience with these platforms.
Start date is flexible, and salary negotiable depending on experience. Please note that this is a full-time position. Enquiries seeking a part time role will not be considered. Students will not be considered.
