On offer is an industry competitive remuneration package including annual performance incentives, FIFO and Health & Wellbeing allowances and employee benefits and development opportunities.About the RoleThe Project Mine Geologist, reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, is tasked with a wide range of responsibilities encompassing drill production, scheduling, geological modelling, and Mine planning.Your key accountabilities will include: Design and oversee the Life of Mine drill schedule. Collaborate with the Long-Term Planning Engineer, Senior Resource Geologist, Senior Mine Geologist, and Mine Geology Superintendent to align the diamond drilling schedule with the modelling schedule and the LOM plan. Discuss with Technical Services the impact of the drill schedule on short-term production activities and mining interactions. Supervise and endorse LOM capital development and stope designs as needed. Guide Mine Geologists and, together with Senior Geologists, provide oversight of their work programs to ensure the Geology Department delivers work to the required standard, including drilling, geological logging, data validation, section interpretation and end of month reconciliation. Take charge of geological interpretation and wireframing for Grade Control, Reserve, Resource, and Inventory models in Vulcan modelling software. Maintain communication with the Resource Geology team throughout the modelling period to ensure deadlines are met with high-quality reporting. Undertake medium to long-term projects on a wide array of pertinent subjects as directed by Senior Geologists. Constantly aim to enhance the efficiency of the Geology Department's processes and systems.About You• BSc or MSc degree in Geology.• 3 - 5 years Underground Mining Geology experience (preferably gold).• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on Continuous Improvement.• Capability to develop leadership and robust personnel management skills.• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.• Interpersonal skills necessary for supervising drilling contractors.• Proficiency in modelling software, Vulcan and Deswik preferred.• Financial management and budgeting abilities.• Administrative and Microsoft Office skills.Applications close on Monday 23, June 2025.We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
