For further information please visit https://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/ What You'll DoAs the OHS Business Partner, you will lead the delivery of best-practice occupational health and safety across the organisation. You will manage the logging, investigation and follow-up of OHS incidents, provide expert advice to executives, managers, employees, volunteers and external stakeholders, and support a strong safety culture. Acting as the Return-to-Work Coordinator, you will work with managers, employees, payroll, insurers and WorkCover to enable safe and timely returns to work. You will influence leaders in contemporary safety and risk management practices, lead responses to critical incidents and liaise with WorkSafe Victoria where required. The role includes preparing OHS reports for the Executive, Board and managers, delivering training in partnership with People & Culture, and conducting audits and risk assessments. You will also maintain OHS documentation, support governance groups, lead the Contractor Management system re-launch, and ensure ongoing compliance with OHS legislation. What You'll Bring You will bring tertiary qualifications (or commensurate experience) in OHS or a related field, with a strong track record in developing and applying contemporary OHS strategies, systems and programs within diverse, multi-site organisations. You will have proven experience in a generalist OHS lead role, including managing responses to critical workplace incidents, conducting investigations, and previous experience as a Return-to-Work Coordinator. Highly skilled in research, data collection, analysis and reporting, you will provide tailored advice to executives, managers and employees, building OHS capability across the organisation. You work effectively with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgement, and escalate issues as required, aligning recommendations with organisational objectives and compliance requirements. Exceptional communication skills, combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint, enable you to develop and maintain data systems that support informed decision-making, identify priorities, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.
