Customer Service Officer - SA Government
Location: Adelaide, SAPay Rate: $43 - $44 per hourHours: Rotating roster across 7 days, 9:00am - 5:00pm
We're seeking experienced Customer Service Officers to support a busy SA Government hotline providing information and assistance to the public.
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for managing incoming calls, responding to public enquiries, and accurately recording information within the department's systems.
The position operates on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls through the government hotline
Provide clear, accurate, and empathetic customer service
Record call details and update systems accurately
Follow scripts and protocols to deliver consistent information
Escalate complex matters to senior staff where required
What We're Looking For
Previous call centre/customer service experience (essential)
Familiarity with Genesys or similar data entry systems (desirable)
Strong verbal communication and data entry skills
Availability to work weekends and public holidays
Current working rights in Australia
Current Police Clearance, obtained within 12 months
