Job Description
The ROLE
* Assists with planning and construction phases of the project.
* Plan and support onsite construction activities including providing direction as required.
* Assists in the preparation of the construction and environmental method statements and other documentation as required in the project planning conditions as required.
* Setup project quality controls in accordance with Project Specifications.
* Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site as required.
* Track daily production and costings, develops forecast cost to complete and measure performance against this for activity codes/budget within area of responsibility.
* Assists Project Manager and site staff in evaluating third party designs and construction methods.
* Ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
* Any other duties or tasks as reasonably directed.

Desired Skills and Experience
About YOU
* Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* 5+ years relevant experience in civil construction industry including minimum 1 year at Project Engineer level.
* High level of competency in project delivery and financial reporting
* Comprehensive knowledgeof civil engineering principals to maximise sustainability and safety while minimisingdefects.
* Detailed knowledge ofGovernment specifications, Australian standards, contract administration, procurement and subcontracting principles.
* Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues and management.
* Ability to understand, write and implement Project Management Plan(s) and Specifications.
* Sound understanding of Microsoft Office software - in particular Microsoft Excel.
* Current Drivers licence
* White Card
* Managed delivery for package of work or project in excess of $2 million in value.
* Civil Structures experience (desirable)
