Head Dance Teacher
to join our beautiful Bondi Beach studio. This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape the future of our school, grow with the business, and eventually run the Bondi studio independently.
The Opportunity
We are a vibrant dance school offering quality programs for students aged 18 months to adults. We focus on sharing the
LOVE of dance
in a nurturing, fun environment.
As we expand, so will your role. We are looking for a professional who takes initiative and thinks long-term. In exchange for your dedication to growing the studio, your role will evolve into the studio director of the Bondi dance studio with increased responsibilities and remuneration.
Position Details
* Location:
Bondi Beach, NSW
* Time Commitment:
* 10-16hrs teaching per week during school terms
* 3hrs admin per week during school terms
* Possibly workshops within school holidays
* RAD exam preparation & private lessons
* Remuneration:
Competitive hourly rate based
* Starting Date:
Term Early February)
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Artistry
* Deliver high-quality, engaging classes across various ages (18 months – adults) and styles.
* Develop lesson plans and curriculums aligned with
RAD standards
.
* Choreograph routines for classes and the annual dance concert.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive, joyful feedback.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.
Growth & Administration
* Social media engagement and community outreach.
* Handle new student enquiries and sign-ups.
* Manage relationships with parents and follow up on payments.
* Help with the end of year concert preparation
* Identify opportunities to increase student engagement
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
* RAD Qualified
(or currently completing qualifications) preferred.
* Proven experience teaching jazz and ballet to toddlers and primary-aged children.
* Experience in choreography and performance preparation.
Mandatory Checks
* Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
