Equipment Maintenance Specialist
This is a challenging role where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production facilities by maintaining equipment, collaborating across departments, and optimising processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing corrective and scheduled tasks per the integrated activity plan and Area Team Leader direction, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, and quality to avoid rework.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining strong collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Production Controllers, and interfacing departments;
* Liaising with Maintenance Support and Production Engineers to resolve issues proactively;
* Participating in planning and execution of scheduled shutdowns and managing unplanned or emergency shutdowns;
* Reviewing and providing input into schedule builds to ensure accuracy and drive 100% schedule compliance;
* Performing routine plant and field tasks per daily, weekly, and monthly schedules using Operator Essential Care, including Reliability and Integrity Plans;
* Supporting the development and updating of standard operating procedures;
* Operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to maximise performance, extend life, and prevent damage;
* Providing on-the-job training, mentoring trainees, and sharing knowledge;
* Responding promptly to critical equipment failures and ensuring equipment reliability through regular maintenance and inspections;
* Identifying and communicating cost-saving and process improvement opportunities;
* Utilising all required systems for efficient operations;
* Adhering to Reliability and Integrity Management Plans and Emergency Response Plan;
* Performing additional duties as directed by the Area Team Leader.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* A dedicated work ethic with a determination to pursue exceptional results and demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across various teams and disciplines;
* Familiarity with Permit to Work processes and equipment solutions (lock out, tag out), along with competent use of Information Systems (Computer Software, including Microsoft Office Suite);
* Knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as SAP;
* Familiarity with engineering drawings and Management of Change processes;
* Previous experience in Oil & Gas Industry or similar;
* Trade Certificate in Instrument, Electrical or Mechanical Fitting;
* Cert III PMA08 Process Plant Operation or UEG30211 Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry Operations, or Cert IV PMA08 Process Plant Technology (or PMA 40113).
