Role Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic 2nd-line Sales Leader to head up Salesforce’s Federal Public Sector business in Australia. Based in Canberra (or willing to relocate), this senior role is responsible for driving customer engagement, sales strategy, and sustained growth across the full Salesforce product suite for our Federal Government business.
As the RVP, you will lead a team of high-performing Account Executives and work closely with internal stakeholders to deepen our impact and presence across departments and agencies. You will serve as a trusted partner to public sector leaders, understanding their priorities and aligning Salesforce’s technology to support mission-critical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and grow a team of Account Executives focused exclusively on Australia’s Federal Government customers
* Develop and execute a comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy across the full Salesforce suite to expand cloud adoption
* Foster executive-level relationships and act as a trusted advisor to government decision-makers, being the most senior Canberra based leader and part of the ANZ Public Sector leadership team.
* Align Salesforce resources across product, solution engineering, public policy, and customer success to support account strategy and being the local executive sponsor.
* Drive pipeline generation and business development initiatives to unlock new revenue opportunities
* Lead from the front in strategic customer meetings and large-scale digital transformation conversations
* Champion a strong, inclusive team culture focused on trust, collaboration, and excellence
* Ensure accurate forecasting, territory planning, and performance tracking
* Hire, coach, and retain top talent with a passion for customer impact in the public sector
About You:
* Demonstrated success in a 2nd-line sales leadership role, ideally within enterprise SaaS, cloud technology or consulting experience
* Deep understanding of the Australian Federal Government, including procurement processes, priorities, and public sector engagement, with established and senior government relationships.
* Experience leading teams selling complex, transformational technology solutions to regulated or government sectors
* Strategic thinker with the ability to drive both long-term vision and immediate execution
* Exceptional leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Adept at operating in a matrixed, multi-product organisation
* Passion for public sector innovation and impact
* Must be based in or willing to relocate to Canberra
