Welfare Officer Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Welfare Officer. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing and welfare needs of our students are met.
In this rewarding position, you will work closely with the Assistant Welfare Officer and Head of School to provide holistic support to our students. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in youth and community services, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and support the wellbeing and welfare needs of students
* Ensure students receive the social and emotional support required to develop knowledge, understanding and skills that support learning, positive behaviour and constructive social relationships
Requirements:
* Demonstrate experience and passion in providing individual support and working with young people
* Skills and experience in working with Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
* High level of interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict
Qualifications:
* Minimum qualification of Diploma in Community Services, Counselling, Youth Work, Social Science or related discipline
* Working with Children Check
* Annual National Police Checks
