The sweet things you'll be involved in
Sugar Australia, a leading employer within the FMCG industry, currently has an exciting opportunity for a Commodity Risk Analyst to join the Commodity Team with agricultural market, trading, price risk management or analytical experience in the Commodity, Treasury or a related industry.
Reporting to the Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for the reporting & analysis of Sugar Australia's commodity and foreign exchange exposures. Located at our Yarraville Head Office this is a permanent full time position.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
* Trade capture, and generation of daily, weekly and monthly financial risk management reports (commodity and FX positions, mark to market, risk exposures)
* Market analysis and support for all trading activities, including market reports to customers
* Provide daily price quotes to Refined Sugar Sales Teams, and Growers
* Customer and Supplier sugar futures and FX pricing and hedging
* Raw Sugar supply contract execution
* Risk management system administration and development
What you'll bring to the table
To be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in Agriculture, Finance, Economics or a related discipline, and have 2-3 years demonstrated experience in a commodity trading environment dealing in physical commodity contracts and derivative contracts. You will have experience in market risk systems and reporting, and physical commodity contract execution.
The proactive and organised person we seek will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high attention to detail with a strong numeracy focus and advanced Excel capabilities.
