IP Australia's corporate plan focuses on delivering new and improved stakeholder centric, digitally driven solutions. The Senior Multimedia Developer supports this by developing and maintaining quality online products that ultimately support and educate IP Australia's internal (staff) and external (customer) audiences. This role involves planning, developing and preparing rich video (both live action and animation) and audio content for the IP Australia website, intranet and social media, balancing technical accuracy with customer needs.
The role requires creative flair and experience in developing high quality rich content across multiple formats, with demonstrated experience in rich content production, including storyboarding, scripting, filming and post production.
The role also contributes to the production of case studies which showcase innovation and help further educate customers who want to engage with the IP system. Occasional domestic travel may be required.
The successful occupant of the role will:
Manage various rich content projects involving identifying needs, scoping requirements, managing any relevant contracts, approval processes, publishing, promotion and evaluation
Lead pre-production, production and post-production of video, audio, animation and photography content for the agency
Work closely with the project manager to deliver drafted rich content to tight timeframes
Working with third-party suppliers to deliver small and large projects
Provide day‑to‑day guidance, support and quality oversight to junior team members to build capability and ensure consistent delivery
In consultation with the Assistant Director, manage IP Australia's photography requirements, ensuring alignment with the agency's brand guidelines
Support subject matter experts by providing evidence-based advice to and delivering creative outcomes aligned to agreed communication plans and approaches
Design, develop and deliver rich content solutions to capture and engage various audiences
Participate in communities of practice and other knowledge sharing forums
Audit and evaluate existing rich content, identifying opportunities to update, repurpose or archive content as needed
