About the Role
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will play a vital role in maintaining the school's facilities and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Reporting directly to the Principal, Business Manager, or a nominated delegate, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively to support the school's operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Performing day-to-day tasks such as delivering and collecting mail, setting up classrooms or halls for events, and managing school supplies and equipment.
* Maintaining the school grounds, including mowing, gardening, and general upkeep of outdoor areas and sporting facilities.
* Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, including safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment maintenance.
* Attending to or arranging repairs and maintenance of school facilities, furniture, and equipment, including basic maintenance tasks.
* Supporting school events by assisting with setup and cleanup, and ensuring the school environment is well-maintained and secure.

About You

* Experience in grounds and facilities maintenance or a similar role.

* A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
