We're now looking for a Commis Chef to join our Cake Making Department and help bring our signature Italian flair to life, one delicious layer at a time. If you're an early riser with a passion for Italian pastry, we want to hear from you
The Role
As a Commis Chef in our cake making team, you'll support the daily production of a wide range of artisan cakes and pastries. You'll work under the guidance of senior pastry chefs to ensure every item is crafted to perfection, meeting our high standards for quality, consistency, and flavour. You will be responsible for:
* Assisting in the preparation, mixing, and baking of cakes and pastries
* Following recipe data and production methods accurately
* Operating bakery equipment safely and efficiently
* Maintaining production schedules and timelines to meet daily targets in a high-volume environment
* Upholding cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in the kitchen
What You Bring to the Table
* Minimum 2 years' experience in pastry or cake making in a production environment
* Strong technical skills including accurate mixing, baking, and recipe execution
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to product quality
* Great communication and a collaborative mindset
* A love for Italian culture, flavour and flair
* Trade qualifications in baking or patisserie are preferred
* Ability to work 4:00am – 12:00pm, with a mix of weekdays and weekends
