The Opportunity
We are currently seeking experienced Civil Earthworks Supervisors to join our team on major projects in the Pilbara Region, WA. These projects involve bulk and detailed earthworks for the construction of roads, rail, tailings dams, and infrastructure on remote mining sites.
You'll play a key leadership role, managing teams and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Requirements
To be successful, you will have:
* Significant experience in a Supervisor role on large civil infrastructure or mining-related projects
* Strong understanding of bulk and detailed earthworks
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and resources effectively
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A commitment to safety and quality standards
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager or Superintendent, the Earthworks Supervisor will be responsible for:
* Leading and coordinating earthworks crews and subcontractors
* Delivering works in line with project specifications, safety standards, and production targets
* Planning and allocating daily tasks to ensure efficient progress
* Running daily pre-starts and toolbox talks
* Monitoring quality outcomes and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
* Resolving construction and technical issues with engineers and support staff
* Tracking progress, resources, and equipment requirements
* Reviewing and confirming quantities for reporting and month-end certification
* Promoting a strong safety culture by leading from the front
* Coaching and mentoring team members to support capability and development
* Ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and client requirements
