Role Overview
As a social and content led Client Director, you will help lead the delivery of brand, content and social work for key clients. You will be responsible for maintaining the creative integrity of the work, ensuring the agency's vision aligns with client objectives while guiding projects through delivery. You will manage day-to-day client relationships with confidence, bring clarity and structure to delivery, and ensure work is produced to a high standard, on time and on budget.
You have strong integrated advertising experience supported by solid social and content knowledge. You understand how channels work together and can guide teams through delivery while balancing practical problem solving with thoughtful, creative thinking. You keep projects moving with pace and purpose, while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
You bring strong social and content expertise and help guide thinking across integrated campaigns, working closely with Bastion's teams to ensure ideas translate effectively. This role would suit a Senior Client Manager looking for their next step into a Client Director position.
Client & Account Management
* Act as the day-to-day client lead, building trust through reliability, organisation and clear communication
* Bring strong content channel knowledge including social platforms, content formats, paid amplification and reporting, applying this within social first as well as integrated brand and earned activity
* Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams, helping influence decisions and maintain momentum
* Present work and recommendations clearly, adding useful context and insight
* Identify potential delivery issues early and work with senior leads to resolve them
* Help maintain strong client relationships by being organised, proactive and solutions-focused
Business Management/Commercial
* Expand every project and look for new growth opportunities
* Support the Group Account Director in growing client revenue by finding additional opportunities/projects
* Manage client revenue forecasts and pipeline resulting in meeting monthly budgets
* Ensuring projects are profitable – the resource and time allocation is in line with the project estimates
* Be an effective negotiator when it comes to estimating projects, additional changes and out of scope requirements
* Reporting key financial data
Integrated Campaign Delivery
* Supports the delivery of integrated campaigns, managing scope, timelines, resourcing and client expectations
* Working alongside social media managers to help guide the development of content calendars, content production, approval workflows and paid social delivery
* Collaborates closely with creative, strategy, media and production teams to ensure work is cohesive and effective
* Knowledge application of social and content platforms, audience behaviour and content trends to strengthen integrated planning
Platform & Content Expertise
* Deep understanding of social platform mechanics, trends and algorithms
* Ability to guide teams and clients on what makes content perform on platform
* Knowledge of emerging formats including short‐form video, reactive content and content‐first campaigns
* Understanding of how organic and paid social work together
* Understanding of how content sits across the broader advertising practise
Production and Delivery Management
* Partners with production teams to coordinate high‐quality outputs across content, social and broader integrated deliverables
* Manages WIPs, approvals, documentation and timelines
* Maintains brand consistency and delivery quality across all work
* Liaises with external partners and suppliers including production companies, talent and photographers
Strategy & Business Development
* Has a strong understanding of the advertising landscape - particularly social and content
* Understanding of how to scope and deliver social & content campaign delivery effectively
* Support strategy and creative teams with audience, channel and category insights
* Help translate strategic direction into clear implementation plans for delivery teams
* Can clearly articulate client goals and surface opportunities that strengthen performance or add value
* Comfortable reviewing performance and social data in partnership with strategists and social media managers, helping translate key insights into practical recommendations based on business needs and understanding
* Contributes to proposals and new business responses with practical channel and delivery input
Team management and leadership
* Contributes to a highly productive and effective team to deliver great work
* Is a knowledgeable and approachable team member who leads by example
* Develops and nurtures the skills of others in your team
* Supports operational efficiency by identifying improvements to processes and workflows
What You Bring
* 4–6 years' experience in account management across integrated and content‐led campaigns
* Strong understanding of social and content work within broader brand, earned and media activity
* Experience delivering social‐first campaigns and always‐on content programs
* Experience working with creative, strategy, media and production teams
* Comfortable reviewing social and performance data and identifying useful insights
* Excellent organisation, project management and attention to detail
* Strong communicator and confident presenter
* Collaborative, proactive, and calm under pressure
* Commercially aware and responsible with budgets and timelines
