Business Support Officer will provide professional, efficient and effective administrative support to the Amenity and Compliance Branch

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepare high quality written responses in line with legislation, Council guidelines, procedures and policies, explaining review outcomes (the decision) and addressing customer concerns.
- Provide administrative support for all teams within the Amenity and Compliance Branch.
- Process and issue documentation associated with the functions of the Branch.
- Answer telephone enquiries as part of the contact centre skill set and attend to the customer service counter, providing high-level customer service support and advice to the residents and the community on a broad range of issues in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Ensure computer files, records and correspondence data are maintained accurately, with a focus on data integrity.
- Provide information and advice to inform and educate the community on issues relating to the various functions of the branch.
**Requirements and Qualifications**:
- Ability to adapt to new technologies
- Ability to respond to difficult situations appropriately
- Certificate IV or above in Business Administration with relevant experience
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers and IT systems, including Microsoft Office and other Council operating software (Pathway, TRIM).
- Time Management skills, ability to set priorities, plan and organise own work to complete assigned tasks
- Experience in Justice Administration, Public Administration, Law Enforcement, Customer Service or other related fields.
- Experience in a high-volume administration and customer service environment involving problem resolution and ensuring customer service standards and targets are met.
- Highly developed oral and written communications skills including the ability to prepare complex correspondence.
