What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Psychologist in Community Paediatrics, you will deliver high-quality, evidence‐based psychological services to children and families, addressing behavioural, emotional and developmental concerns.
* Conduct triage, assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions for children aged 0–18
* Develop and implement child‐ and family‐focused treatment plans
* Provide individual, group and parenting‐based interventions
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care
* Contribute to service improvement, research and clinical education activities
Essential Criteria
* Qualification: Master's degree or Higher in Clinical Psychology
* Registration: Current general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA with relevant area of practice endorsement – Clinical Psychology
Selection Criteria
* Completed Clinical Psychology degree with the ability to practice independently. Completion of a registrar/training program is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in administering, interpreting and writing reports for a range of assessments including the Griffiths, ADOS, ADIR, Conners, Vineland and ABAS.
* Experience in facilitating parent groups such as 123 Magic and COS‐P and ADHD/behavioural management strategies in both individual and group settings.
* Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics and effects of abuse, neglect and domestic violence and best practice when working with children experiencing child protection issues.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and work with families from differing socioeconomic and/or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to achieve client outcomes and goals.
* High level of written clinical documentation skills with demonstrated competency in using computer based applications including electronic health records.
* Demonstrated excellent time management and organisation skills to provide timely and appropriate services and meet workload expectations.
* Current driver's licence valid in Australia and the willingness to use for work purposes and work flexibility at varying sites across the district.
