Job Description
Our Role
Coral Expeditions Marine Operations is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Marine Superintendent to join our client's dynamic team.
This role is designed for an individual who is passionate about the maritime industry and eager to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of marine vessels.
As an Marine Superintendent, you will support the Senior Fleet Maintenance Manager in various operational tasks, helping to ensure maintenance of the vessels, compliance and company standards are met.
This role will be based in Sydney with travel to Cairns/Ships/Shipyards when required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Collaborating with the Senior Fleet Maintenance Manager to develop maintenance plans for scheduled or unplanned maintenance,
* Be familiar with company and fleet regulatory requirements and certification.
* Efficiently schedule maintenance activities.
* Work with the Senior Fleet Maintenance Manager to find cost effective, appropriate quality and safe solutions to operational issues, record and review Repair and Maintenance expenditure working to set budgets.
* Work with the People & Culture team to foster high morale within the department.
* Support in all parts procurement for repairs and coordinate to achieve on time repairs or as directed by Senior Fleet Maintenance manager
* Assist in maintaining and record Marine documentation including MS, monthly reports, Refit reports, Refit schedules and ships records & correspondence.

Qualifications:
* Marine technical or related discipline or experience
Experience:
* 1-3 years supervisory or administrative role.
* Strong understanding of marine operations and safety regulations or ability to
* Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Willingness to travel for vessel inspections and audits.
Skills:
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Excellent Problem-solving ability.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/SharePoint).
* Organised and able to meet deadlines.
