The role of the PE Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across the PD/H/PE Syllabus Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA Experience teaching Physical Education (K-6) The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role: Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organisational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K6.
Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
