Position: Director Sales & Marketing

Our client is seeking a full-time Director Sales & Marketing who will be primarily responsible for the management and mentoring of the Technical Sales Representatives and Marketing to ensure the overall sales budget and profitability objectives of the company are met. Develop, implement and review the strategic sales plan and marketing initiatives to increase sales and grow the brand in the Australasia region.
Tasks required include:
* Oversee national sales, promotions and other activities to achieve sales targets.
* Build positive working relationships with existing customers for repeat business.
* Assist Technical Sales Representatives in identifying and liaising with potential customers for new business opportunities.
* Coordinate with Technical Sales Representatives to plan promotional activities, PTK seminars, trade events and special events.
* Participate in sales conferences, industry meetings, trade shows and social networks in representing the company’s brand.
* Identify market needs/opportunities with sales team and recommend new products for development.
* Prepare and implement with the Managing Director future growth plans, marketing and sales budgets for the Technical Sales Representatives.
* Motivate and guide the sales team to achieve revenue targets, while implementing sales and marketing plans, strategies and reports.
* Travel across Australia and New Zealand to develop and support Technical Sales Representatives and distributors.
* Develop creative sales and marketing techniques and tactics to meet business goals.
* Coordinate and direct the execution of all marketing support services including but not limited to the development, and implementation of the Corporate Graphic Design Standard, purchasing of sales tools, product launches, website, and consultation of marketing related topics to all departments.
* Understand client needs and provide appropriate sales solutions.
* Address client issues and queries promptly.
* Planning, managing and executing the Australia Sales Meeting.
* Hire, train and mentor Technical Sales Representatives to achieve daily tasks and exceed sales targets.
Requirements:
* Master of Business Administration
* At least two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar role
* Successful track record in sales management.
* Minimum five years of sales & marketing experience in the construction industry, preferably tile-related.
* In depth knowledge of construction methods and standards.
* Membership in local Construction & Industry Associations
* Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
* Physical ability to lift and carry up to 20 kgs infrequently.
* Computer skills: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* High computer literacy.
