The Opportunity
We're currently seeking a dedicated Trades Assistant to join our team. This hands-on role involves supporting our tradespeople in the workshop and contributing to a range of essential tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the assembly and disassembly of hydraulic cylinders and mechanical components
* Operation of chrome stripping and chroming tanks
* Chrome and HVOF polishing processes
* Operation of HVOF and ARC spray rooms
* Perform painting and sandblasting tasks
* Perform general logistic and warehouse duties
* Clean, flush, dress, and polish parts
* Carry out measurement and quality checks on components
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
* Learn and operate workshop machinery and tooling as required
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or labourer in a workshop or industrial setting
* A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to learn
* Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
* A commitment to safety and the ability to follow clear instructions
* Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
