About The Role
This role involves engaging with participants by providing personalised counselling, therapy, and brief therapeutic interventions. You'll conduct intake assessments and develop tailored counselling plans in collaboration with participants and their families.
* Advocating for participants and coordinating with other clinicians, peer lived experience workers, and stakeholders to enhance interventions and well-being.
* Monitoring and managing participants' mental health and well-being, collaborating with health professionals as needed.
* Participating in clinical meetings, case meetings with peer lived experience workers, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance your expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with current AHPRA registration in a relevant discipline (psychologist, registered nurse) or AASW (Social Worker), with mental health accreditation highly regarded. Experience in comprehensive mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions is essential.
* Skills and experience in trauma-informed counselling and therapy, including the use of multiple clinical counselling modalities.
* Ability to demonstrate mental health triage and participant de-escalation techniques.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including computer literacy.
* Ability to build rapport and influence diverse stakeholders.
