Test & Evaluation Manager – Yarrawonga, New South Wales, Australia

Our Australian Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce guided weapons and explosive ordnance for defence and commercial markets. The Test & Evaluation Manager at Mulwala leads the testing, evaluation and development of explosive products and ballistic systems to assure performance, safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
* Supervise, train and mentor Technical Officers, Shot Firers and Technical Assistants in routine analytical procedures on propellants, ballistics, cast composites and high explosives.
* Perform technical analysis both routine and non‐routine for chemical and instrumental testing.
* Develop and implement Quality Control techniques and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 compliance where applicable.
* Ensure compliance with safe working practices and maintain operation of the work area.
* Review all technical reports for accuracy before release.
* Act as a Clearance Officer for the area of responsibility.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Degree-qualified in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
* Certified Workplace Trainer & Assessor (desirable).
* In-depth knowledge of laboratory calibrations, standardisation procedures and quality control techniques.
* Explosive Licence (Unsupervised Handling) & Shotfirer certification (desirable).
* Availability to work on site.
* Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
