Our client is a privately owned property developer with diverse business interests across high-rise and land subdivision projects. They are currently looking for an experienced Financial Controller/Finance Director to join the senior management team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role will lead a team of 4 finance members and be responsible for all aspects of the finance function. The role will be key to supporting and driving the company’s strategy. The ideal candidate will require a hands-on approach, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure business growth and project success. Responsibilities: Strategic financial leadership Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the business overall strategy and support business operation, growth and long-term sustainability Responsible for all aspects of the finance function Lead the finance team and proactively managing all the aspects of the finance function, to ensure a smooth and efficient finance operation at all times. The finance function includes but not limited to: daily finance operations, budget &forecast, cash flow, financial & management reporting, tax, audit, compliance and insurance. Risk control and compliance oversight. Identify, inform and mitigate business risks. Continuously improving internal processes to ensure the business is compiled at all times. Business Partner Acting as the key finance business partner, providing financial insights and guidance to internal stakeholders for effective decision making. Collaborating and supporting the senior management team to ensure business success and operation efficiency. Direct stakeholder engagement Establish and maintain professional and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and nurture long-term and healthy partnerships. Team management and growth Ability to lead, manage and develop the finance team. Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and high-performance efficiency Continuous Improvement Ongoing monitor and enhance internal controls, and continuously improve efficiency. Experience: Fully qualified with 8 years’ experience as a Financial controller/Director, with proven hands-on experience in managing all aspects in a large and complex multi-entities structure. Extensive experience in Victoria’s property development industry, preferably in both high-rise and greenfield projects. Excellent analytical and reporting skills, attention to details.
