We are seeking an experienced and capable Organisational Manager – Resources and Infrastructure to lead operational coordination, business performance, and organisational effectiveness across a resources and infrastructure portfolio based in Alice Springs. This is a senior leadership role suited to a well‐rounded manager who can oversee people, systems, projects, and operational processes in a complex regional environment.
The role will focus on ensuring the organisation operates effectively across its core functions, with responsibility for planning, workforce leadership, stakeholder engagement, governance, and continuous improvement. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, the Organisational Manager will help strengthen delivery capability, support sustainable growth, and ensure alignment between strategic priorities and day‐to‐day execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead organisational performance across resources and infrastructure‐related operations and support functions
* Oversee business planning, operational coordination, and management of key organisational priorities
* Drive efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement across internal systems, processes, and service delivery
* Support the development and execution of strategic and operational plans aligned with business objectives
* Manage cross‐functional teams and build capability across administration, operations, logistics, and support functions
* Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental, governance, and regulatory requirements
* Monitor budgets, resource allocation, and cost performance across the function
* Coordinate internal reporting, performance metrics, and management information to support decision‐making
* Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, government bodies, community stakeholders, clients, and internal teams
* Support delivery of projects, infrastructure initiatives, and business improvement programmes
* Identify organisational risks and implement practical solutions to improve resilience, accountability, and operational effectiveness
* Foster a collaborative, professional, and culturally aware workplace environment
You are a practical and adaptable senior manager with experience leading teams and coordinating business functions in the resources, infrastructure, construction, logistics, utilities, or related sectors. You are comfortable working in a regional setting and understand the importance of strong systems, clear communication, and responsive leadership in delivering consistent operational outcomes.
You bring sound judgement, organisational capability, and the ability to manage a broad and varied workload across people, processes, and priorities. You are also confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in environments where relationship management and community awareness matter.
Required Experience and Qualifications
* Significant experience in a management role spanning operations, organisational leadership, administration, or business management within resources, infrastructure, construction, utilities, or related sectors
* Demonstrated success managing cross‐functional teams and organisational processes in complex operating environments
* Strong capability in planning, coordination, reporting, and performance management
* Experience overseeing budgets, resource planning, and business operations
* Sound understanding of governance, compliance, risk management, and workplace health and safety obligations
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities and support delivery across a broad operational scope
* Experience working in regional, remote, or stakeholder‐sensitive environments is highly regarded
* Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, operations, commerce, or a related discipline
Preferred Experience
* Experience in the Northern Territory or remote Australian operating environments
* Exposure to infrastructure delivery, regional services, or site‐based operations
* Understanding of contractor management, logistics coordination, and workforce planning
* Experience working with government, Indigenous stakeholders, local communities, or regionally based service providers
* Strong appreciation for cultural awareness, local engagement, and community relationships
