Rubicon Associates is a 100% Australian-owned consultancy that provides naval architecture and marine engineering services, platform systems design and integration, integrated logistic support, project management and contract management services to the Commonwealth Department of Defence, the defence industry and others that own, build, and maintain maritime assets. We are seeking expressions of interest from the following professionals to join our teams in Fremantle and Melbourne:
* Mechanical/Marine Engineers
* Naval Architects
* Structural Engineers (FEA experience)

* Draftpersons (Mechanical/Structural/ Electrical)

Candidates must be Australian citizens and eligible to apply for an NV1 Security Clearance due to the nature of the roles. Experience within the Defence and Commercial maritime sectors will be highly regarded. Chartered Engineers or professionals working towards becoming one are especially desirable.
Experience
* Engineering and/or tertiary qualifications and experience relevant to the role.
* Working experience of ship systems design, operation and maintenance within classification society rules and regulations.
* Demonstrated knowledge of relevant standards and regulations and their impact on design.
* Demonstrated experience in a Defence or Maritime environment highly desirable.
About You
* Hold professional engineering qualifications (in any of the above areas), along with Chartered Engineer status or professional development sufficient to attain Chartered Professional Engineer recognition with Engineers Australia. Candidates who are not yet Chartered should demonstrate a commitment to working towards becoming one.
* Drafting qualifications (in any of the above areas) along with continued professional development.
* Must hold an AGSVA Australian Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
* Experience in shipbuilding, marine systems production, submarines and/or project management.
* Commitment to be mentored, learn and develop.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to be a self-starter and work as an effective team member.
* Demonstrated ability for attention to detail.
* Excellent oral and writing skills.
* Strong work ethic and integrity.
