The Reliability Maintenance Manager role is a newly formed position within the global engineering leadership team. It is viewed as a catalyst for the establishment of world class maintenance and reliability engineering function within ResMed, ensuring that ResMed continues to be a leader in the production of sleep products.
As part of a global manufacturing leadership team, you will work with counterparts globally to ensure consistency of approach and alignment where appropriate.
With your very strong leadership experience in the Reliability Maintenance space, you will also be very much in tune with current / future technologies and trends, particularly in the area of data analytics and how this can be a key driver of improvement in the Maintenance and Reliability function.
- Develop a high potential, high performing team, driven to deliver the highest quality solutions, demonstrating ownership and accountability for the service provided.
- Actively developing a positive workplace culture and effective performance management.
- Lead and champion reliability principles and defect elimination processes to ensure maintenance strategies are continuously improved and equipment run-time is maximised
- Implement, manage and be accountable for ensuring compliance to all aspects ResMed's health and safety management system within the areas of responsibility (managing safety training, work systems etc.)
- Ensuring visibility in the workplace of safety activity and performance and proactively drive improvements
- Ensure there is appropriate Reliability Maintenance support across the planned production shifts, so downtime related issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve complex / systemic issues
- Develop and instil a strong data driven approach to TPM and reliability engineering, constantly focused on improved OEE performance within the factory.
- Effective planning and organisation of deliverables within the team
- Drive a culture of Business Excellence through visible and active JDI, Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance to all aspects of Quality within the team and proactively build a culture that promotes the highest levels of Quality

- Degree of Engineering or Trades Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, including experience in leading, building and developing teams, processes and systems in the area of reliability maintenance.
- You have a strong aptitude for data analytics and data driven improvements
- You have the proven ability to coach, develop and engage employees
- You are an excellent communicator and a problem-solver
- Strong people leadership and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to lead and mentor a highly capable team
- Good understanding of and experience in LEAN initiatives, WHS and GMP processes
- Experience in highly regulated medical device manufacturing is an advantage
- Experience in structured root cause analysis
