The Department
The Anaesthesia Department is fully accredited for specialist training and delivers a comprehensive and high-quality service across the hospital, including:
1. Pre-admission assessment clinics
2. Acute Pain Service rounds
3. Anaesthesia and sedation for medical and procedural services
The department has a strong teaching culture and supports a broad multidisciplinary training cohort, including:
4. Queensland Anaesthesia Rotational Training Scheme (QARTS) trainees
5. College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) trainee
6. Rural Generalist trainee
7. Principal House Officers (PHOs)
8. Junior House Officers (JHOs)
9. Dedicated Acute Pain Service Nurse

Requirements
15. FANZCA with specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
16. ANZCA Advanced Trainees within 6 months of attaining Fellowship
17. International Medical Graduates:
18. Assessed by ANZCA as Substantially Comparable
19. OR with ANZCA interview dates confirmed
20. Doctors from New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, South Africa, Hong Kong, and Taiwan are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for assessment pathways
