NES Fircroft is partnering with a global resources client seeking multiple Hydro Field Technicians to join their team. This is a temporary position initially lasting 8 months, with potential for extension.
The Role:
As a Hydro Field Technician, you will provide essential support to the Field Hydrogeology Team as needed.
Work Schedule: 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan daily earthworks operations, including ground-truthing proposed locations.
2. Peg future borehole locations and tracks as required.
3. Enter data daily regarding earthworks progress, drill pad sign-offs, and pegged drill holes.
4. Identify and address hazards in the workplace.
5. Provide digital and physical information to the Earthworks Crew for efficient clearing of drill sites within LUC conditions.
6. Assist in emergencies such as fires or weather events.
7. Support Earthworks Operators and conduct daily pad checks and sign-offs.
8. Support hydro contractors to facilitate water well drilling and test pumping scopes.
9. Coordinate with contracting staff and escort vehicles as needed.
10. Review SWIs and procedures regularly.
11. Conduct stocktakes of department consumables.
12. Engage in field interactions to promote safety and knowledge sharing.
13. Load and unload stores as required.
Requirements:
1. Minimum Class C manual WA driver’s license.
2. Basic computer skills; willingness to learn new software.
3. Current first aid certificate.
4. 4WD certificate.
5. Moderate to high physical fitness (preferred).
6. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
7. Forklift Ticket (desired).
8. MR or HR License (preferred).
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Experience with drill rigs and earthwork equipment (preferred).
2. Previous mining site experience (preferred).
3. GIS experience, such as using ArcMap (preferred).
