ABOUT THE ROLE 
The ideal candidate possesses genuine excitement and passion for good food and the desire to grow in the industry. You will work with quality products and assist in the culinary department of the hotel. Above all, you will be keen to learn and be committed to achieving the very best. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. 
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. 
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. 
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. 
Prepare cold foods. 
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. 
Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. 
Monitor food quality while preparing food. 
Set-up and break down work station. 
Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles. 
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. 
Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food. 
Follow 5 star luxury standards. 
ABOUT YOU 
Experience and ability to workin a fast paced and quality driven working environment 
Must be passionate about food and keen to showcase their ability in fast-paced environment 
Well-developed ability to work independently and as part of a strong, diverse and dynamic team 
Excellent organisational skills and strong work ethic 
Enthusiasm, awareness and great teamwork 
Able to communicate and showcase reliability 
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment 
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
