**About the role**
This is an exciting part-time opportunity to join Gawler Grande Views Hospitality team as a Kitchen Hand.
**What will you be doing?**
In this role, you will be working collaboratively with the Head Cook and play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our residents by preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals in a clean and organized kitchen environment.
**About you**
You will be responsible for
- Prepare meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
- Assist with meal planning, including special dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, following food safety standards.
- Setting up dining rooms tray service to dining and resident rooms;
- Assisting with food preparation tasks as required including organising the cool room, freezer and other storage areas, chopping vegetables, washing food, preparation of basic food items.
What we look for:
- Demonstrated experience working with the aged and an understanding of guidelines of HACCP/Food Safety Program.
- National Police Certificate
- Minimum 3 COVID-19 vaccinations and seasonal influenza vaccination
- Evidence of right to work in Australia

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing quality food services in line with the Food Safety Program, responsible for their own standards of practice and legal responsibilities & accountability and must work within the organisational policies and procedures. They must adhere to strict personal hygiene/ grooming and dress code policies.
Skills and experience:
Relevant experience in Aged Care catering, current FSP, WHS legislation and HACCP. PPT position. Employed under the Aged Care Award.
