Clinic Phlebotomist Hematology/Oncology - Days (FT) Phlebotomist for HemOnc Clinic (FT) (Days); main responsibility, high volume lab draws daily with required documentation in EMR system and assisting with performing clinical duties including patient triage along with other clinical duties as assigned for physicians and advanced practice providers.JOB SUMMARYThe Clinic Phlebotomist is responsible for specimen collections in office clinic setting. The Clinic Phlebotomist is expected to manage a high volume of collection requests for routine, timed and emergent needs. Specimen collections will span ages 18 and up. Knowledge of test requirements and use of electronic tools are necessary. Interpersonal skills with clinic staff, registration staff, nurses and providers are important. The Clinic Phlebotomist will be assigned other clinic duties other than specimen collection.Job Specific:Demonstrates successful phlebotomy or clerical responsibilities. (EF)Organizes and guides specimen processes including drug and alcohol specimen collections. (EF)Routes telephone calls and questions to appropriate section. (EF)Ensures transfer of specimens in the tube system and or to the hospital is done in a timely manner.
