Overview
Fleet Controller role at Team Global Express in Tennyson. This is a Full Time, Salaried Permanent Position with Monday to Friday hours (12pm Noon Starts).
Responsibilities
- Plan and co-ordinate the pickup and delivery of consignments in the most cost effective and effective manner possible.
- Effective load planning and preparation of runs.
- Daily debriefing of all drivers, addressing poor performance and non-compliances on the spot.
- Ancillary equipment ordering, maintenance and control.
- Compile loads to ensure the most efficient use of drivers and equipment.
- Ensure that all vehicles comply with customer and freight requirements.
- Prepare loading/unloading documentation including manifests and compliance documentation.
- Supervise drivers to monitor and enforce general compliance with State and Federal Laws.
- Provide feedback to customers internal/external on status of pickup and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance and contribute to the ongoing development of operational procedures and ensure documentation is consistently updated in the system.
- Ensure employees and contractors work in accordance with established procedures and practices of the business.
- Prepare and manage repairs and maintenance for company equipment.
- Participate in and contribute to operational toolbox meetings and OHS meetings.
