About the Area
The Academic Services team provides academic administration and support services to a wide range of clients including Heads of School, academic staff and students across the faculty. The team is committed to providing a quality outcome with a focus on continuous improvement. The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia is a unit within the Medical School of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, providing rural clinical training for WA medical students from UWA, Curtin University and University of Notre Dame. The RCSWA spans a breadth of some 3,500 km across multiple sites in WA to provide a positive rural educational experience, increase the quantity and quality of the rural workforce and improve health outcomes in rural and remote Australia.
About the Opportunity
Part‐time (0.5 FTE) appointment on a fixed‐term basis until December 2026. The position is expected to continue through to 2031 subject to Commonwealth funding. Base salary range: $83,212 – $92,231 p.a. (pro‐rata) plus 17 % superannuation and district allowance.
* Enhance locally trained rural medical workforce in Northam.
* Provide high‐level academic and administrative support to staff and students at the Northam site.
* Coordinate a broad range of academic services and office operations to ensure efficient delivery of medical training.
* Play a key role in fostering a positive and supportive learning and living environment for rural medical students.
* Work as part of a small, supportive team delivering high‐quality academic support to medical students in a rural setting.
About You
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
* Substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level.
* Proficient in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email.
* Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
