We're on the lookout for a Service Technician to join our growing team! As a key player in the transition to sustainable transport, BYD is at the forefront of electric vehicle innovation and we want you to be part of it.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on BYD vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
* Carry out inspections, road tests, and fault finding
* Complete service documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping
* Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, with a strong focus on safety and quality
* Keep up to date with BYD's latest service procedures and technology (EV training provided)
* Collaborate with service advisors and workshop staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
* Maintain a clean, organized and compliant workshop environment
Requirements
* Fully qualified automotive mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
* Experience with modern vehicle systems (EV experience a plus, but not essential)
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
* Good communication skills and a team player mindset
* Valid Australian driver's licence
