Job Advert – Senior Advisor Procurement and Business Services Clerk Grade 9/10 Employment Type: Ongoing, Full-time. A talent pool will created for future opportunities. Location: Newcastle or Camden. Hybrid working is supported, with regular office attendance required (currently a minimum of 2 days per week, increasing to 3 days in line with business needs) Salary: $129,464 – $142,665 super Division: NSW Fair Trading Business Unit: Strategy, Policy and Delivery / Subsidence Advisory NSW About the role Subsidence Advisory NSW supports communities affected by coal mine subsidence, including managing compensation for property damage and regulating development to protect homes and infrastructure. This role leads procurement and business services in a high-volume operational environment, providing specialist advice and operational oversight across core functions. You will drive compliant, efficient and customer-focused outcomes across procurement, contract management, financial coordination, records management and core business services. Key responsibilities Lead procurement planning, sourcing and contract management in line with NSW Government requirements Manage supplier performance, risks and contract outcomes Provide expert advice on procurement governance, probity and compliance Oversee business services functions to ensure efficient and integrated operations Maintain oversight of records management and financial processes to support compliance and accountability Support budgeting, purchasing compliance and financial controls Drive continuous improvement and operational planning initiatives Provide guidance and oversight to staff across procurement and business services About you Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management within complex environments Strong knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks and governance requirements Experience across business services (e.g. finance coordination, operations or records management) Proven ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume activity while maintaining compliance and quality outcomes Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills High levels of integrity, accountability and commitment to customer-focused outcomes Why join us Broad, end-to-end operational role with real impact on service delivery Opportunity to strengthen procurement and business service capability Work in a small, collaborative team with strong governance and operational focus Flexible and hybrid working arrangements Essential requirements Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management or business services Ability to meet NSW Government probity and pre-employment checks Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at 129464.00 base plus superannuation Click Here to access the Role Description .
