Vivid Recruitment is working with a growing structural engineering consultancy based in Melbourne that is looking to appoint an Associate-level Structural Engineer. This business has built its reputation on delivering practical, buildable design solutions across residential, commercial and mixed‐use projects. They work closely with developers, builders and architects, with a strong focus on long‐term client relationships and repeat work. With a solid pipeline and continued growth, they are now looking for someone who can step into a senior leadership role within the team and help drive both project delivery and client engagement.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for the following:
* Leading structural design delivery across multiple projects from concept through to construction
* Managing project workflow, resourcing and delivery in conjunction with the directors
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining and developing strong relationships
* Overseeing and reviewing engineering design, ensuring technical quality and efficiency
* Providing leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and drafters
* Attending and leading client and stakeholder meetings
* Assisting with fee proposals, tender submissions and broader business development
* Supporting the growth of the business through client engagement and repeat work
* Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard
ABOUT YOU
You will have the following skills:
* 7+ years' experience in structural engineering within a consulting environment
* Strong experience delivering projects across residential, commercial or mixed‐use sectors
* Proven ability to manage projects and lead teams
* Comfortable dealing directly with clients and stakeholders
* Experience contributing to business development and winning work
* Strong technical capability across structural analysis and design
* Experience with software such as SpaceGass, RAPT, RAM Concept or similar
* Permanent work rights in Australia
