About the role
As a manager you will contribute to an inclusive, just, and productive organisational culture, uphold values, lead with kindness, demonstrate informed decision making, monitor service quality, prioritise cultural safety and client outcomes. You will hold significant responsibilities, delegations and oversight performance of designated services, projects, and initiatives. Your direct reports will be effectively supported, receive professional supervision and empowered to fulfill their roles.
As part of the Non-Family Based Care Stream, you will manage all sites and initiatives including but not limited to the Residential and) sites, office sites, integration activities and ensure administrative, data and reporting deadlines are met. Collaborating with the Senior Manager, you will identify, mitigate, and manage client, staff, financial and stakeholder related risks and participate in advocacy, networking, partnership, and service development opportunities. Priorities will be guided by a Workplan periodically updated to meet organisational needs.
To be successful you will need
* Tertiary qualifications in Community Services / Social Sciences or related discipline.
* Substantial case work experience with young people/young adults from diverse cultural backgrounds dealing with challenges such as disconnection from family, homelessness, alcohol, and other drug issues, disrupted education and or unemployment.
* Strong record of effective staff supervision, service management, and meeting contract deliverables and service standards.
* Knowledge of out of home care, child and adolescent development, family reunification and models that support young people develop independent living, relational and tenancy skills and to re-engage in education, training, and job pathways.
* Track record of strong Teamwork, collaborative practice and project management.
* Experience working with First Nations people, families, Organisations, and communities.
* Proven aptitude for administration, data analysis and reporting on client outcomes and service impact.
Compliance
* Evidence of mandatory qualifications
* Satisfactory outcome of a current (less than 3 months old) National Criminal History Check
* Blue Card (QLD working with children card)
* LSC2 (child safety screening check)
* QLD drivers' licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent
* Ability (and willingness) to participate in a rostered (shared) 24/7 On Call system.
* Required to transport clients and or to visit clients in their place of residence or within another out of office setting.
* Out of hours work may be required from time to time.
* Ability (and willingness) to undertake local area / regional travel.
* First Aid certificate and CPR certificate
