The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finance and Business Services Manager to oversee our financial operations and business support functions. This pivotal role will ensure accurate financial management, operational efficiency, and the smooth running of office administration, travel, events, compliance, and ICT support.
Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Services, you will lead a dedicated team consisting of the Business Administration Officer, Travel and Events Officer, and Assistant Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end financial processes including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation, budgeting, and audit preparation.
Oversee procurement and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Supervise and develop your team of three direct reports to deliver outstanding office services, travel coordination, and financial support.
Manage property and office administration ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Coordinate travel and events planning aligned with organisational needs.
Support ICT system improvements and internal communications.
Ensure compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
Provide high-level stakeholder and Board support including meeting coordination and logistics.
Champion a values-driven team culture focused on professional development, collaboration, and service excellence.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in finance management, including accounts processing and reconciliation.
Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or coordinating administration and finance staff.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
Proficiency with finance software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Office.
Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent experience.
Experience in not-for-profit, Aboriginal, or community-based organisations is highly regarded.
