Our New Product Development team is responsible for shaping the next generation of Riviera yachts, from early concept through to production-ready tooling.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands‑on Composite Technician to join our Plug & Mould Shed within the New Product Development team.
This role focuses on the construction, detailing, repair and maintenance of plugs and moulds used to develop new yacht models. It is a practical, detail‑driven position suited to someone who takes pride in surface quality, accuracy and craftsmanship.
You will work closely with designers, engineers and laminators to ensure tooling is fit‑for‑purpose and production‑ready.
Key Responsibilities
* Plug and mould construction, repair and modification
* Surface preparation, sanding, fairing, detailing and polishing
* Gelcoat application and fibreglass lamination
* General mould maintenance and upkeep
* Assisting with vacuum processes where required
* Reading and working from basic drawings and instructions
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in composites, fibreglass, moulds or tooling
* Strong attention to detail and surface finish quality
* Confident with hand tools and workshop equipment
* Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work as part of a team
Highly Regarded
* Experience with plug and mould building (marine, automotive, pool or tooling industries)
* Experience in sanding, fairing, spray painting or fibreglass lamination
* Marine industry experience
