**About the role**
Mater Mothers' Hospitals Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Midwife to join the leadership team in the position of Midwifery Unit Manager Ambulatory Services. This permanent position-38 hours per week will work in partnership with the leadership & multidisciplinary team.
**Salary: $141,611 - $152,289 per annum **(NUM Level 1) **+ 11.5% superannuation and **access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900** + **access to many staff benefits!**
**What you'll be doing**
In this diverse role you will be responsible for the clinical and operational management of our Ambulatory Services.
The Ambulatory Services Portfolios include:
- Women's Health Clinics including Antenatal, Postnatal, Gynaecology and Fertility
- Homecare and Medi-Hotel Services
- Lactation Services
- Virtual midwifery models of care
**Other duties and responsibilities include**:
- Leading and growing a high performing team of professionals in a collaborative environment
- Promoting and supporting a culture of woman and family centred care
- Demonstrated experience in change management, leading service improvement activities aligned to operational and strategic objectives and achieving positive outcomes.
- Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that services are efficient and
- patient safety is optimised
- Team management, including performance management and compliance with Human
- Resources processes
- Delivery of targets against relevant timeframes.
**About you**
Suitable applicants for this role will be a Registered or Clinical Midwife with:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a clinical cost centre
- Higher level tertiary qualification in Midwifery (or working towards desirable)
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and time management skills within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated experience in change management, leading service improvement activities aligned to operational and strategic objectives and achieving positive outcomes.
- Strong leadership ability and experience, and the desire to promote the Mater mission and values to all staff
