Location: Canberra, ACT

The Resource Manager and Corporate Governance Officer is situated within the DVA's national office in Canberra and reports directly to the Director War Graves. A critical part of an executive team, they enable processes that support the delivery of OAWG's business under DVA's Program 3: Commemoration and War Graves. This role has been established to ensure OAWG's continued good governance, reporting and accountability practices, and to enable compliance reporting and the preparation, monitoring and reviewing of program elements for business and risk planning, management and reporting.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships is critical to the roles occupant as they will collate and provide information to and work with business areas across the Department including our Finance Business Partner within the CFO group who is responsible for financial reporting and administration.

The key duties of the position include:

- Work to and support the Director War Graves and Program Directors;
- Contribute to and manage good governance practices supporting program delivery including the provision of official commemoration, war graves operations and projects and the agency relationship with Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC);
- Support OAWG sections and depots to develop, manage and report on program and project outcomes including finance and resources, in line with the Public Governance Performance and Accountability Act 2013, SIs and AIs.
- Manage performance reporting mechanisms for program outcomes as outlined in the Parliamentary Budget Statements (PBS).
- Contribute to the commissioning and implementation of a War Graves management system.
- Contribute to reporting for and provide analysis and overview of Program 3.1;
- Identify opportunities and implement ongoing process and system improvement projects and supporting stakeholders through change;
- Develop productive working relationships and undertake liaison with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve timely and high quality outputs:

- Adhere to the APS Values and Code of Conduct; and
- Perform other tasks as required.

Notes:
This recruitment process is being used to fill an ongoing position.
A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to 12 months.
