We are currently seeking a Structural Project Engineer This position can be remote or based in our Columbus, OH office. The role involves managing design and inspection projects independently, working well with clients, and possibly traveling out of state 1-2 weeks per month depending on workload.
Principal Responsibilities: Read and understand construction documents for data collection during inspections. Inspect various structures and silos (concrete and steel) in the field, identifying deficiencies. Collect measurements, photos, and notes during inspections. Perform inspections from lifts or rigging on storage silos, including confined space entry. Collaborate with facility personnel and rigging subcontractors. Establish and maintain positive client relationships and communicate findings effectively. Write detailed technical reports with observations, conclusions, and recommendations. Work with design teams to develop repair drawings for deficiencies. Possess design engineering experience in reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, or wood. Coordinate with design department to produce code-compliant structural drawings. Travel out of state as needed. Required Skills and Abilities: Manage multiple projects concurrently. Proficient in technical report writing and communication. Team-oriented and able to work independently. Meet client deadlines and schedules. Proficient in RISA, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD. Education and Experience: Bachelor's in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering required; Master's preferred. PE license required. Minimum 5 years' experience in bulk material handling design consulting. Knowledge of ACI, AISC, IBC codes. Certifications: MSHA, OSHA 10, Confined Space Entry. Salary range: $89,000 - $134,000, with additional benefits including bonuses, stock options, health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and more.
