Business Support Officer Amenity Compliance Band 4 | Full-time | Local Government A metropolitan local government authority is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to join its Amenity and Compliance function.
This role provides high-quality administrative, infringement management and customer service support across a busy regulatory environment.
About the Role This position plays a key role in supporting compliance and regulatory services by delivering accurate administration, evidence-based decision-making and professional customer service.
Key responsibilities include: Providing efficient and effective administrative support across the Amenity and Compliance function Processing applications, permits, nominations, payment plans and animal registrations accurately and within timeframes Assessing and determining infringement review applications in line with legislation, policies and guidelines Preparing clear, high-quality written correspondence explaining decisions and outcomes Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and counter service with professionalism and empathy Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity across Council systems Registering enquiries and complaints and escalating urgent matters to relevant officers Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing positively to team culture Assisting with induction, training and support of new team members as required About You You are a detail-oriented administration professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is confident working within legislative frameworks.
