**Digital Products Leader**
- Ongoing, full-time role in the NSW Public Sector
- 35-hour work week, with flexible working conditions, including hybrid working conditions
- Opportunity to work at one of NSW top cultural institutes
- Competitive remuneration package up to $143,236 (package includes salary between $116,211 - $128,061 p.a., plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

**About the State Library**:
The State Library of New South Wales is one of Australia's oldest and most important public institutions. Collecting actively since 1826, the Library preserves and presents the social, cultural and scientific history of our State and our Nation for the benefit of all. Its rich collections, both physical and digital, alongside partnerships with the public library network across NSW and other vibrant collaborations enable Australians to examine their past and imagine their future. In short, the Library occupies a unique position at the very heart of our civil society.

The Digital Experience Division leads and manages the Library's digital environment and Information and Communications Technologies (ICTS) to deliver clients and staff the best available and consistent digital experience. By partnering with business for innovation and providing high-quality digital products and services, the Division drives the State Library's commitment to digital excellence.

The Digital Library Systems Services (DLSS) branch manages the suite of technology services to deliver a reader-centred experience. In partnership with our colleagues, the branch delivers timely outcomes, whilst providing leadership as technology owners for systems that manage the collection and engage our clients. These include a range of products such as websites, catalogues, collection management systems, crowd sourcing platforms, digital asset management and digital preservation systems.

**About the role**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Digital Products Leader, who will act as a key liaison between users and technical teams. This role plays a key part in coordinating and managing the Library's digital products and services to ensure that they align with our strategic priorities, meet business needs and quality standards, and address the information needs and expectations of the Library's readers.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following knowledge and experience:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience and knowledge of digital product development processes and appropriate standards
- Extensive experience in managing and coordinating dynamic websites and digital products for a large client service-based organisation
- Strong communication skills, and able to collaborate with different people across the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

1. Describe a recent situation where you used a digital solution to solve a longstanding business problem affecting a substantial number of users. Describe your approach to problem solving and how you implemented the solution.
2. Digital product development and management is a key responsibility for the role. Please give an example on how you have managed the continual improvement of a digital product and the transition from concept to production.

**Talent Pool**
Applicants not initially offered a role but have been assessed through the recruitment process as being suitable will be placed in the Talent Pool to fill future vacancies as they arise. Placement in the Talent Pool remains valid for 18 months.
