Job Title: Logistics Specialist
We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the movement of domestic and international goods, ensuring compliance with local and international law.
The role requires knowledge of all possible movement constraints, experience in one or two transport modes (Ocean, Air or Land), and knowledge of hazardous movements.
* Coordinate pre-shipping instructions and work with service providers on movements.
* Coordinate orders for shipment of cargo from point of origin to point of destination, ensuring product meets required delivery in the most efficient method.
* Interface with customers to keep them apprised of progress.
* Maintain all files per shipping requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics systems and be able to analyze business needs to plan movement of shipments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to assist finance and accounting with validation of rates and charges on invoices.
* Completion of a two-year degree or equivalent degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Engineering, plus 1 to 2 years of experience in logistics.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* IATA/IMDG certification may be required based on scope of work.
