Job Title
A Medical Support Professional is required to provide administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcome and register patients, collect personal details and complete admissions paperwork with health fund checks.
* Schedule and organise patient appointments and day lists for consultants.
* Prepare consult rooms and paperwork for each clinical session.
* Answer telephone calls and respond to enquiries.
* Communicate fee schedules and process patient invoicing and billing (Private Health and Medicare).
* Monitor and assess the administration care path of all patients.
* Oversee wait room activities and respond to patient queries.
* Discharge procedures and paperwork.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a medical secretary highly advantageous.
* Experience with Medicare, DVA and Private Health Insurance favourable.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Proficiency in using computer systems, particularly Word and Excel.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional client service.
