Your Team
The Families, Wellbeing & Justice Programs portfolio delivers holistic support to individuals, families and children to promote mental health, wellbeing and safety. Programs span the New England and North West regions of NSW and work collaboratively with government, legal, health and community service partners.
Job Description
Your Role
We are seeking a part-time (10 hours per week) Family Law Pathways Network Officer to coordinate, administer and facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Family Law Pathways Network (FLPN). In this role, you will work under the strategic guidance of the Steering Committee and play a key part in strengthening collaboration across the family law, legal, and community sectors.
The position is responsible for maintaining strong governance, delivering responsive network activities, and ensuring the Network remains aligned with emerging practice, policy developments, and changes within the service system.
To support continuous improvement, the Project Officer also attends the annual Family Relationships Services Australia Conference, sharing contemporary insights, sector trends, and policy updates with the Network and broader regional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate Steering Committee meetings, including scheduling, agendas, minutes and action follow-up.
* Support effective governance through documentation, reporting and implementation of Committee decisions.
* Promote Network membership and encourage participation from new agencies and professionals.
* Strengthen and maintain referral pathways between legal, family, and community services.
* Maintain accurate membership lists, stakeholder databases and contact records.
* Create and maintain an up‐to‐date regional community and service directory supporting families experiencing separation or family law matters.
* Disseminate the directory across the Network and ensure it is actively promoted as a key referral resource.
* Prepare and distribute newsletters, updates and communications to Network members.
* Maintain and update Network online platforms, websites and digital information hubs (where applicable).
* Coordinate cross-sector training, forums and professional development aligned with Network priorities and sector needs.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* High emotional intelligence and capacity to manage complex group dynamics.
* Strong organisational skills, including database management and meeting coordination.
* Proven ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships across sectors.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate events or projects effectively.
Key Performance Indicators
* Steering Committee meetings coordinated in line with annual planning.
* Agendas issued prior to meetings and accurate minutes distributed within agreed timeframes.
* Community and service directory maintained, accurate and reviewed at least annually (or more often where changes occur).
* Evidence of engagement with new or emerging services to strengthen the Network's reach.
* Annual Work Plan developed in consultation with the Steering Committee and aligned with funding guidelines and regional needs.
* Annual Work Plan submitted to Centacare NENW Executive by the second week of July each year.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in social work, law, community services, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Demonstrated knowledge of the family law system and services supporting separating families.
* Experience in project coordination, network facilitation or community development.
* Highly developed interpersonal, written and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems.
