About the role
As a Senior Pharmacist within SA Pharmacy, you will deliver safe, effective and high-quality pharmacy services across a designated clinical area. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of pharmacy services, exercising independent clinical judgement, and providing expert therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals. Your work will contribute to improving patient outcomes through the safe and cost-effective use of medicines.
You will provide leadership within the pharmacy team, support the supervision and education of staff and students, and contribute to policy development, research, and quality improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a pharmacist seeking to advance their leadership capability while continuing to deliver specialist clinical care in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
About You
You are an experienced and motivated pharmacist with advanced clinical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering consumer-focused care.
Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current registration (or eligibility) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
Extensive hospital pharmacy practice experience with proven leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex workloads.
Mandatory Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance (NPC), and compliance with SA Health immunisation requirements.
